Migrations by State
Migration uses the same filters and selections as does SEP sesam backup system Filter- and Selections. The columns are similar to Restore by state.
In the true sense a migration is a grouped task to copy savesets.

Main Log
The principal elements necessary for an analysis can also be seen in the migration log. At the top the select row shows the SQL-statement which selects the appropriate individual backups to copy them. In case of an error, it is useful to query the SEP sesam-database with that SQL-string. Furthermore it is logged from which media pool to which media pool a migration is done per single job which tapes are involved for every job and the size of each saveset.
Properties of a single Copy-Job to Migration
Info
To display the status of a single copy job in a migration task the same dialog is used as for the normal migration task but the displayed fields are slightly different.
Main Log
The log of a migration copy-job is a subset of Restores by State.
