Step 1: Navigate to Topology/DataStores in the GUI and open the DataStores window
Step 2: Click on the button New DataStore
- Enter a DataStore name
- Check if "Create Drive for DataStore" is selected
- Enter Drive Number and select Device Server
- Click the Browse button
Step 3: Select a folder for the DataStore in the browser
Step 4: Check the recommended values for capacity, High Water Mark and Low Water Mark sizes. You can confirm the suggestion with <Yes> and change it right after that in the DataStore definition main window.
Step 5: After you confirm the DataStore definitions with <OK> the following dialog will ask you if you want to create a new mediapool and use it with the new DataStore
If you answer <No>, you have to create the mediapool manually, if you answer <Yes> ...
Step 6: ... enter a Media Pool Name, select Drive Group and set up the Locked days value.
Now you can backup the data to that Mediapool.
